Don E. Davis serves as Vice President of Allegheny Commercial Driving Academy. Don has over 30 plus years experience in the trucking industry. At the age of 18 Don started his career as a tractor-trailer driver in Tennessee. After a stint in the United States Navy serving in Viet Nam, Don returned home to drive for Southwest Motor Freight as an owner-operator and small fleet operator. Experienced in practically every facet of the trucking industry, including driver education and development, driver schools and recruiting, Don is a member of the elite “Million Miles Safe Driver Award Club” along with having served as a member and officer of numerous regional and national trucking organizations.

Stephen Johnopolos serves as Director of the Academy. Johnopolos has over 20 years experience in the public sector, including experience in the job training, education, and advertising-public relations fields. He is a seasoned curriculum specialist and proposal developer on both the state and federal levels, and has served on numerous economic development task forces, educational research committees, and public-private sector advisory liaisons. He is graduate of DePaul University and attended graduate school at the University of Chicago.

Darryl Carter is a product of the New Jersey public school system and holds a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Organizational Development from Geneva College. He currently serves as Acting Director of the Academy. Darryl’s expertise is in human resources management and development; additionally he has a strong background in safety and risk management as well as driver recruitment. Darryl sits on numerous civic and community boards, and local and regional economic development boards.

Michael Gallagher: serves as an Instructor at the Academy and is a graduate of the New England Tractor Trailer Training School. Mike has served in the capacity of “train the trainer” along with instructor and facilitator duties relative to new driver company orientations. Mike has 14 years experience driving tractor-trailer and is a member of the prestigious “Million Miles Safe Driving Award Club.”

Daniel L. Stroupe: serves as a Consultant to the Academy and has been in the educational field, as well as instructing truck driving classes for the past 21 years. Dan grew up in Western Pennsylvania and has taught individual, group, and special interest classes to a variety of trucking companies, schools, and public safety organizations. He holds numerous specialty training certificates from national organizations including the Professional Truck Driver Training Institute, and is a certified instructor for the National Safety Council for Professional Truck Driver Training Programs.
